    I agree with …
I agree with everything you said except that the Republicans aren’t at greater responsibility since I believe it’s the Presidential administration that sets the platform for the Federal Reserve and not them acting independently and freewheeling. The Bush admin policies turned this economic stimulus idea to 11 to fund his war AND provide tax cuts primarily for the wealthy. That set the stage for this insanity.

    A new system is …
A new system is forming and soon will transition in unprecedented ways into a new system that will flush for human beings in a very fresh and blessed way. A change is approaching very soon, as this change has broken through the matrix and is rectifying the cosmic flow of this world.

Keep well dear Olseabee, and best wishes to your family, my friend.

    Cheers,

    Mitch

    “Well how long do …
“Well how long do you think the foreign raiders will let the American middle class investors be a part of corporate investment??”. Olseabee, i hope you are well my friend. It is not about whether it’s Foreign or Domestic, the soul of the matter is that the Law of Morality has dying on a death bed, as it has been stripped away from the Law of Humanity. Even if the Law of Morality is still alive, which i believe it is, The damage done from Wicked Evil People, no matter what creed, causes Doom.

    tennessee is not …
tennessee is not much better than any place else…i live close to gm’s saturn plant. Forclosures around springhill are growing, same with housing in Williamson county..(one of the richest percapita in the country).

No jobs anywhere…for anyone…just like everywhere else.. a friend working for marriot in nashville said they are cutting hours and trying to get people to quit instead of laying them off.

The economy is getting a grip on the throat of mainstreet.

    davincij,
    Saying …

    davincij,
Saying dollars are ‘real money’ is absurd.
If it was ‘real money’, then the value would not fluctuate and a dollar saved 100 years ago would have the same purchasing power today.
Yes, Gold is a mineral found in the ground. It has both intrinsic and industrial value.
whiteplaya just had his front grill (teeth) decked out with it. Word up.

    WhitePlayer1,
    You …

    WhitePlayer1,
You just proved that you are spouting and vinegar and have nothing useful to say.
When you are taken to task on a point, your response is ‘well…you mighat as well have..’
Your comments are baseless and witless.
Just because everyone can have a say-so, does not infer that you should have the compulsion to exercise that right, Playa.
(BTW, anyone referring to themselves as a ‘playa’ must be a suburban, Vanilla Ice wannabe). Playa

    The largest reason …
The largest reason is that India is the world’s largest exporter of rice. You might hear BS about energy prices, yada yada, but the big problem was that India started hoarding it because of other issues (soaring domestic food prices–almost doubled in March 08).
The country even banned the export of rice and wheat. They are hoarding 26 million tons of wheat and just extended the ban until next April.
That will have repercussions to consuming nations (USA).

    Having read the …
Having read the comments by the people on this thread, I am convinced that by far the majority have a good handle on the state of affairs with regard to our economies.

If you Google chris martenson crash course you will find an on-line condensed version of how the economy has got into such a mess and why it cannot be easily rectified. Its an eye opener and may change the mind of the people who hold contra views to VV. There are 20 chapters in reasonable chunks.

    Also in this article:

Super Bowl security efforts included personnel and resources from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. militarys Northern Command, which coordinated with Arizona officials. The Northern Command was created after 9/11 to have troops and Defense Department resources ready to respond to security problems, terrorism and natural disasters.
